15th Anniversary Summer Party

Miss the event? Click HERE for photographs from the day. Hope to see you next year!

After a two-year hiatus, we are excited to be returning to an in-person Summer Party and once again welcome guests to celebrate on site with us on the occasion of our 15th Anniversary. Since opening our doors in 2007 as a public museum, The Glass House has remained a site of international significance. It is our mission to maintain this special place by raising funds to preserve our campus and collections.

This year’s event invites guests to explore the grounds with a locally sourced picnic lunch by Elm, while enjoying special performances by award-winning tap dancer and choreographer Ayodele Casel and musical stylings by Paul Sevigny. The event will also launch an exciting sculptural edition by Glass House Artist of the Year, Mickalene Thomas.

Picnicking is encouraged throughout the site – tatami mats on the Pavilion, pillow lounges by Italian textile company Dedar, or reclining on the pristine grass of the Glass House lawn. In between performances, join us for rosé by The Pale, lawn games or view our curated auction of over 120 lots of art, design, luxury experiences, and mingle with supporting artists.

The 2022 Summer Party silent auction hosted by Artsy is available for bidding online now through Saturday, June 11th @ 4pm EST. Click here to register to bid and be notified of auction updates.

This year, more than ever, we are grateful to be able to open our 49-acres for you to enjoy as we commemorate this significant milestone in our history.

About the Performers
Ayodele Casel, an award winning “tap dancer and choreographer of extraordinary depth” (The New York Times) and one of The New York Times’ “Biggest Breakout Stars of 2019”, most recently serves as Tap Choreographer for the highly anticipated and Tony nominated Broadway revival of “Funny Girl”.

She also created and choreographed “Chasing Magic”, a dance film and concert encapsulating the wonder of collaboration and artistry. Ayodele was also a 2019-2020 fellow at the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University and Artist in Residence at Harvard University. Born in The Bronx and raised in Puerto Rico, Ayodele began her professional training at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Her origins in theater and love for storytelling and tap dance have significantly contributed to the narrative nature of her work, which is rooted in the expression of identity, culture, language, and communication.

DJ Paul Sevigny, a name synonymous with New York night life, was the owner of the iconic Beatrice Inn and has deejayed for Hermes, Marc Jacobs, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein, the CFDA Awards, Vogue, and GQ. A fixture at film premiers, fashion shows, and gallery openings around the globe, DJ spinning at parties in New York and around the world Sevigny also plays at private parties for a bevy of celebrity clients including Katie Holmes, Jerry Seinfeld, Keith Richards, and Anna Wintour.
