The Glass House as Queer Space
The Glass House famously sheltered its architect Philip Johnson and his partner, the curator David Whitney, in a relationship that began before the Stonewall rebellion. A panel of scholars and practitioners will discuss the Glass House as “queer space” and consider the ways in which architecture and design shape queer identities.
This program is presented in partnership with the Center for Architecture, New York on the occasion of Stonewall 50. Kindly register here. Please note this program will take place at the Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Pl, New York, NY 10012.
